Welcome
to the inaugural season of the Gridiron Madness Fantasy Football
League.
Congratulations
to Z's Eagles for being the 2001 Champion of the Gridiron
Madness Fantasy Football League. The trophy is already on
its way. Hope you enjoy it. I had fun this season, and I'm
hoping that next season will be much, much better. There will
definitely be some new faces, new trophy dues, and new rules.
Don't forget to bring to my attention any rule changes that
you would like to see.
Some
changes for next year are: adjustments to the DT scoring,
league will be divided into 2 divisions, we will use decimal
scoring and get rid of tie breakers. If 2 teams are still
tied after decimal scoring, then the game will just be scored
as a tie. I am open to any other suggestions, just send me
your suggestions.
There
are some spots available for the 2002 fantasy football season.
If interested, email the
commish with a short description of your fantasy football
background. I want to make sure that only competitive players
are accepted into this league. Only people with computers
need apply. I had a couple of people this season that didn't
maintain their teams very well because they claim they didn't
always have access to a computer.
We
are a PFS affiliate league, so don't forget to go to their
website. A link is on the Fantasy Tools page.
In
the NFL:
I
know there are a couple of Green Bay Packers' fans in this
league, but THE PACKERS WERE DEMOLISHED ON SUNDAY!! The Rams'
defense picked Favre and his packers apart all day long. I
thought the Rams were going to win, but I could never have
imagined what took place on Sunday. It looks like the Rams
are on a mission this season.
The
Pittsburgh Steelers won a decisive game against the Baltimore
Ravens on Sunday. This win came despite the fact that the
Steelers' were without the services of Jerome Bettis. News
cam right at game time that Bettis wouldn't play. When he
was getting a pain shot in his groin area, the needle apparently
hit a nerve and he lost feeling on that side of his body.
The Pittsburgh Steelers - New England Patriots game will probably
be the best game of the remainder of the schedule.
AFC Championship Game:
Philadelphia Eagles vs. St. Louis Rams
